I will never forget when I was 16 and got my first job, my first paycheck that was a little over $100. My mom drove me to Gordon’s shoe store where I bought my first pair of Dr. Marten boots. I was a teenager in the 90s, during the grunge era where my style consisted of flannels, dresses and chunky boots. Wearing a floral dress and chunky boots was my 90S uniform. I had my heart set on a pair of Dr. Martens but my father wouldn’t pay $100 for boots (still won’t) so I saved my first paycheck for them and I still remember it like it was yesterday. This fall the chunky black boot is a closet staple but my style is a little more conservative than it used to be so I chose a bunch of boots that are trendy, comfortable and mom approved. They can easily be worn with dresses, jeans or a skirt. I love mine and I’ve linked them below.
