One of my all time favorite designers is Isabel Marant. She was the pioneer who made boho chic and I love every collection she ever did. Every year I like to hit the winter sales and mostly I’m scouting out her things and choosing things to invest in that are on sale. I love her sweaters, boots and jackets most.
About six years ago Isabel Marant did a collection with H&M and I was living in the city at the time. Joey was about six months old and I begged my parents to come in and sleepover so I could go to the store in Times Square at midnight to shop the collection. They said it was going to sell out in minutes and I had to get my hands on some of it. My neighbor and I walked the streets of Times Square and tried on everything they had left. I still have the pieces I bought that night.
Below I’ve picked my favorite sale items of hers and a few others I’ve bought or thought were a good deal. I always invest in things I think are classic pieces like this striped sweater and these snakeskin boots, two things I will keep forever. I know this sounds crazy but I always think of Caroline. Like someday would she want these boots because I always look at pictures of my mom from the 60s and 70s and love all the things she wore.
