When I was young, I loved to ski. I had no fear and enjoyed my time being adventurous on the mountain. Then I stopped for awhile. I was young, busy and living in New York City at the time and I seemed to have lost my steam and love for skiing.
Now that I have children, I’m always scared of getting hurt or having something bad happen to me on the slopes. It has taken all the joy out of skiing for me.
My son really wants to learn how to ski and I’m all about going to a mountain to teach him because I love ski clothing like fair isle sweaters, warm fuzzy boots and big cozy jackets.
I found this adorable outfit at J McLaughlin in Darien and it just screamed “Apres Ski” to me. The beautiful sweater and faux fur jacket looks and feels so amazing.
I also love a winter white look. This sleek mountain look can be worn at the lodge or out to dinner. These pants and sweater are so comfortable and warm. They are the perfect thing to pack when headed out on your winter vacation or even just waking around town.
So even though you probably won’t see me on the actual slopes this winter, you can be sure to find me in lodge apres ski. I’ll be in J McLaughlin, sitting by the fire and drinking hot cocoa. That’s my kind of winter vacation.
